Ferriby recruit Wales U19 International Goalkeeper

Following the sudden departure of Rory Watson midweek, North Ferriby United have announced the signing of Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Owen Evans. Evans, 20, signed for Wigan from Hereford, and has since played on loan in the Welsh Premier League with Rhyl. Evans has also enjoyed time with the Wales U19 squad, playing in some international matches, which has hopefully given him great confidence to bring into his latest loan spell away from the Lactics. So, he has big boots to fill after the departure of Ferriby’s, arguably, player of the season in what has turned out to be a very difficult season.
