North Ferriby let a two goal lead slip as they recorded a disappointing draw in this home fixture against Rushall.
Ferriby started the game well and took the lead in the 9th minute when Ryan Williams floated in a corner and the impressive Dean Lisles hit a bullet header into the net to open the scoring. 1-0
The game was very even after the opening goal and both sides struggled to create chances. This was demonstrated by the nature of Ferriby’s second goal because it came out of nowhere. A Rushall defender sliced a clearance and the ball bounced towards Gregg Anderson 40 yards from goal. Anderson smashed the ball on the half volley and it flew like an arrow into the top right hand corner of the net. It was a world class once in a career finish from Anderson. 2-0
This was the final incident of the half and Ferriby led at the break. HT 2-0
Rushall came out like a house on fire in the second half and hit the bar in the 48th minute. This seemed to give Ferriby a wake up call and in the 55th minute a goalmouth scramble almost resulted in another Ferriby goal. In the 65th minute Adam Nicklin had to tip a Rushall shot over the bar.
Rushall were starting to get on top and scored their first goal in the 78th minute through a powerful low shot in the box. 2-1
It took Rushall only 2 minutes to score again and equalise. They scored via a deflected shot from a corner. 2-2
Ferriby thought they had won it in the 84th minute when Ryan Kendall appeared to have scored but he was ruled offside.

Match Report Buxton 2-0 North Ferriby United
Ferriby’s poor run of form continued at Buxton and the recent 16 match unbeaten run seems a very distant memory. This was a very poor performance from Ferriby who desperately need to improve especially in the goal scoring department.
The match was played on wet and slippery pitch which didn’t help Ferriby’s style of football. The game started slowly with neither team able to play fluid football on the dodgy pitch. Buxton had the first half chance in the 23rd minute when they had a long shot saved by Adam Nicklin.
There were no other real incidents in the first half and 0-0 was a fair score. HT 0-0
In the first minute of the second half Buxton had a header saved on the line by Nicklin. 5 minutes later Buxton opened the scoring when two former Ferriby players combined. Lee Morris held up the ball and distracted the Ferriby defence, he then passed the ball to Neil Stevens who fired a shit through Nicklin to open the scoring. 1-0
In the 78th minute Ryan Kendall missed a golden chance to equalise when he was through one on one with the goalkeeper but his shot was saved well.
4 minutes later Buxton punished Ferriby for missing chances. A free kick was swung in and Adam Nicklin tried to tip it over the bar, he inadvertently tipped the ball onto the head of Reed who will never score an easier goal. 2-0
With a few minutes to go Ryan Williams had a shot saved from an acute angle. He was disappointed not to score. FT 2-0
Overall this was a poor performance from Ferriby and AFC Fylde at home has now become a huge match and Ferriby will be praying Gary Bradshaw and Anthony Wilson will be back to score the goals they need.
