Ferriby extended their unbeaten run to a magnificent 14 league matches with a 3-1 home victory over Marine. This was a great result because Marine are one of Ferriby’s top 5 rivals and it is always good to take points of your closest rivals. Ferriby look unstoppable at the moment and will hope to pull away from rivals at the top whilst they are on this run.
Ferriby took the lead almost instantly when they won a free kick deep in the Marine half in the 3rd minute. Ryan Williams curled the free kick in and Dean Lisles beat everyone to tap home, it was just the start Ferriby would have hoped for. 1-0

Ferriby made this dominance pay in the 57th minute when Danny Clarke scored. The ball was dropping towards him 25 yards out and he volleyed the ball straight into the bottom left hand corner of the net. This capped a brilliant performance from Clarke and it was a fantastic goal. 3-1
The game then hit an even period with Ferriby looking solid and Marine were unable to break them down, Ferriby’s defence has been one of the main reasons why they are top of the league and it is very important to manager Billy Heath that Ferriby keep a tight ship at the back.
Marine had the final chance of the game in the 84th minute when Adam Nicklin was forced to make a low save followed by a quick punch away. He showed impressive reflexes because really he had been in his deckchair for most of the match because Ferriby’s defence was so solid.
FT Ferriby 3-1 Marine
This was another impressive result for Ferriby who are unbeaten at home in the league this season. The defence is looking solid with Nicklin having little to do, the midfield has gelled well and they are chipping in with goals as well as creating plenty of chances for the strikers who are all banging in the goals.
Danny Clarke was my man of the match for this game because his work rate was excellent and he scored a fantastic volley.
